Spill Control Secondary Containment
At its core, secondary containment is a safety net. It’s there to catch a spill if your main container fails - whether that's a leaking drum, a cracked IBC, or a toppled tank. In the UK, the Environment Agency requires businesses to have containment systems that can hold 110% of the largest container’s volume, or 25% of the total volume stored (whichever is greater). But meeting that threshold doesn’t guarantee you're protected or prepared.
